WooEscrow Wallet is a custom product developed to bring decentralized crypto payments and escrow functionality into the WooCommerce ecosystem. Built as a Web3-enabled payment infrastructure, the platform combines product development and blockchain development to support secure wallet-to-wallet payments, escrow transactions, vendor settlements, and marketplace commission automation.

The client needed a custom-built crypto payment product that could integrate with WordPress marketplaces while solving limitations around traditional payment gateways and trust in peer-to-peer vendor transactions. Requirements included self-custodial wallet creation, escrow-based payments, multi-chain support, smart contract-powered settlements, vendor commission handling, and scalable blockchain infrastructure fully integrated into the marketplace experience.

We built the wallet integration completely from scratch as a custom solution, ensuring full flexibility and control over how crypto payments work within the platform. Instead of relying on existing plugins, we developed a custom WordPress plugin integrated with WooCommerce, allowing users to make payments in cryptocurrency seamlessly during checkout.

On the backend, we created a custom wallet and payment system that supports decentralized transactions, escrow handling, and multi-currency acceptance during purchase. This was powered by a modern tech stack using PHP and React, combined with blockchain integrations through Tatum, Alchemy, and Web3.js for interacting with smart contracts.

For better user experience within the wallet, we also integrated MoonPay, enabling users to easily buy, sell, and swap crypto directly inside the platform. Overall, our approach focused on building a fully custom, scalable crypto payment system that blends smoothly into a traditional marketplace while leveraging the power of blockchain.
